KASA was founded in March 2002 to assist Korean Americans Citizens to live in harmony as Americans in our new home. We are incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Today, we are an advocate for all Seniors regardless of race, color, national origin or religion.
KASA is the largest Korean American non-profit in Howard County. We have over 200 active Senior members. We assist all Seniors – not only Korean-American but all nationality, color, race and income status. We specially assist disadvantaged Seniors and Senior orphans to enjoy their Golden Years. We also help Seniors prevent loneliness & isolation and increase mental well-being. We provide various active programs to keep our Senior active, healthy, happy and young. We offer various lectures and seminars to keep our Seniors updated on all health and modern classes, programs and assistance. We offer Korean American Seniors with language barriers with government programs and personal assistance.
Lastly, KASA preserve our rich Korean Culture for our next generations. And to live in harmony with all cultures and citizens of our Community.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Our Impact
KASA has more than doubled our membership this year. We were very fortunate that we had many sponsors to fund our services and efforts. 100% of our donations goes directly to our members benefits and works. We are expecting to double in membership again in 2025.
Unfortunately, there are too many Seniors who still need help and assistance. Our vulnerable Seniors has very little options or simply do not know who or where to turn too. KASA wished to bridge this gap while keeping our Seniors active, health and give our Seniors the respect they deserve.
Our Mission
We want for all Seniors to live, play and have fun together regardless of race, color or ethnicity. We are starting a Care line to assist our Seniors with any government programs like Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, utility etc.
Although we have over 200 active members, there are over 30,000 Korean-American Seniors living in or around Howard County. We want to give back to our community.
Our KASA Thrift Sale help many other disadvantaged people in our community. Lastly, we want to preserve our Korean Culture for our next generations. We share our culture not only with our next generation but with our current Seniors of all race and color. Our rich culture, food and dance brings all peoples together.
